Sir, i just want to know the main role of HR in IT industry

the main work of Hr in IT industry would be the following
recruitments (if not tied up with consultants)
co ordination in interviews
joinings and induction
co ordination in training prog
employee engagement and welfare ( main work in IT industry)
exits

When you say Employee Engagement and Welfare activities, can u give more insight on that.. What sort of employee Engagement activities can be done in an IT company.

Hey,
Apart from the above -
Performance appraisal is also an imp task .
You can also assign the KRAs (Key Responsible Areas) for an employee.
It will be gr8 if you can do the Succession planning of every employee.

Employee engagement activities like
regular outings like picnics and movies, employee birthdays, monthly and yearly staff awards, indoor and outdoor games, conducting soft skills trainings, organizations anniversary celebrations etc...

Hi ,
When you say the main role in IT Industry It depends on your responsibilities in organization. If you are in middle or small size company you responsibilities starts from Recruitment to Exit. An MNC is totally different and your responsibilities depends upon which dept you are working.

Normally, your responsibilities will be R2R ( recruitment to retirement or resignation) and depend upon the size of your organisation, your role will vary.

Role of HR is same as in any other industry. I do not see it different.. All depends upon the HR professional as to what opportunity he/she sees to make a contribution / impact to the organisation.
