Apart from the above, performance appraisal is also an important task. You can assign Key Result Areas (KRAs) for an employee. It would be great if you could also do succession planning for every employee. I will keep you posted as I learn more about the other details.

When you say the main role in the IT industry, it depends on your responsibilities in the organization. If you are in a middle or small-sized company, your responsibilities start from recruitment to exit. An MNC is totally different, and your responsibilities depend on which department you are working in.

Normally, your responsibilities will be R2R (recruitment to retirement or resignation) and depending on the size of your organization, your role will vary.
