I'm new to this website; it's really helpful in increasing one's knowledge. Well, my query is about campus recruitment. I am new to this vertical of HR called "campus recruitment"; can anyone tell me on what all grounds I need to work on before going for it?

Campus recruitment means companies are visiting colleges or institutions to recruit people. In this process, organizations are acquiring fresh talent and creating opportunities for challenges. Before initiating this process, some groundwork is essential.

Firstly, determine the specific skill sets required and reach out to the heads of institutions or college placement officers. Discuss the exact skills and qualities of candidates with them. Inform them about your recruitment strategies and processes, such as conducting exams, interviews, and group discussions.

What my other colleagues have said is right, but I can also explain the same thing to you in a different way since I am working for a manufacturing company.

The process is as follows:
1) First, list out the candidates you want.
2) Also, list out the activities/projects they have to carry out.
3) Then, contact the institutes or colleges regarding the number of students available for the interview.
4) After the pool of candidates is available, fix the time and date with the college/institutes.
5) Prepare the tests and interview rating sheets (if any interview is to take place).
6) Conduct the aptitude tests/interviews at the respective colleges.
7) Evaluate them at that time or later.
8) Then select whichever candidate is found suitable.
