Action Against Previous Employer For Lodging A False Complaint With Prospective Emp

Sunny6
Hello,
I want some guidance about an issue briefed below.
I was working with a organisation for almost 2 years and then decided to opt for a better opportunity. But my employer didn't relieve me for about 6 months. With great difficulty I some how got a relieving letter later.
I managed to get a job with another organisation and continued to work with them for a while. Now I got a very great offer from a big organisation with a very good profile. But now what happened is that my previous employer who didn't relieve me initially has sent a false complaint to my prospective employer stating that I ran away with organisation's money.
I'm contemplating a legal action since I have a proof that he has made a complaint. and also proof that I have not taken any money and I dont owe him anything.
Please advice me.

The first thing you have with you to support is your Relieving Letter..
...I hope it clearly states that about you and your character..so whats the problem...if they say so then how can they relieve you is the next point...
...you take the referance of colleagues or superiors in that company as well...and take the current employers as well...go with some evidence...if not this company...look for another...no employer can stop any employee from his career growth...its against the law....

Dear Sunny,
The action of previous employer is out of malice and grudge. Send the lawyer's notice to them. If they do not tender apology, make a police complaint. Your lawyer should be able to guide you however, your current employer should provide you original copy of the letter from your previous employer which states that you owe them some amount of money.
Thanks,
