Need Help with BOC Act License: What Documents Are Required and Any Tips?

I would like details on how to obtain a license under the Building and Other Constructions Act. Could you please provide information on the necessary documents to be furnished under the BOC Act to acquire a license? Additionally, I would greatly appreciate any valuable insights you can offer regarding BOC.

Dear Rajiv,

In Gujarat, we have to get registered with the Dy/Asst. Director of Industrial Health and Safety.

Checklist for the application of BOC Registration under BOCW Act, 1996:

1) Covering letter on the respective contractor's letterhead
2) Form – 1 in triplicate (Signatures shall be original only)
3) Challan of fees*
4) Copy of muster roll (in triplicate - Current month)
5) Copy of PAN Card of Project Manager / Principal Employer
6) Authority letter of Director / Owner authorizing as Principal Employer / Project Manager
7) Memorandum & Articles of Association

*Fees:
1. Up to 100 laborers – Rs. 1000/-
2. From 101 to 300 – Rs. 2000/-
3. From 301 to 500 – Rs. 4000/-
4. Exceeding 500 – Rs. 5000/-

Registration Under the Appropriate Government Authority

The appropriate government notifies the competent authority under this Act to grant registration certificates. Therefore, please contact your area labor office to know the registering authority.
