Please guide me on the following points:

1) What is the permissible limit of overtime for office boys by law in Mumbai?

2) Is it covered under the Shop & Establishment Act?

We are not covered by the Factories Act, but yes, we are covered by the Bombay Shops and Establishment Act and the Minimum Wages Act.

Dear Abhijit,

Please review the rules of your state on the Minimum Wages Act, 1948 for overtime limits. In general, the limit is 50 hours in a quarter.
