Seeking Sources for HR Articles and Books: Where Do You Find the Best Reads?

durgainfo@yahoo.co.in
Dear all,

I am a librarian in a leading chemical company. We have a very good library, especially for the HR department and for employees. Can someone guide me on where I can find good articles on execution skills for individuals, HR career development for women, etc.? I really don't know the sources from which or where I can get the articles. If any of you have read an article, kindly tell me the source. Also, suggest some good journals and books in the HR field. Is there any free database available for HRM? Please guide me.

Thank you.

Dear Durga,

You can subscribe to "Human Capital" magazine. It is a monthly publication. Secondly, if your company becomes a corporate member of HR bodies like NHRD, NIPM, AIMA chapters, you will start receiving regular issues of their periodicals. These periodicals are also very good.

On the international level, you can subscribe to the Harvard Business Review. Their publications are also of high quality. You can also subscribe to magazines published by the "Society for Human Resource Management."

Thanks,

Dinesh V Divekar
