How to Train Newly Recruited Employees

When it comes to training newly recruited employees, it is essential to have a structured and effective onboarding process in place. This process should include orientation about the company culture, policies, and procedures. Providing comprehensive training on job responsibilities, tools, and systems will help new employees quickly adapt and become productive members of the team.

In addition to formal training sessions, it is beneficial to assign a mentor or buddy to each new hire. This mentor can offer guidance, support, and answer any questions that the new employee may have. Encouraging open communication and regular check-ins can also help in ensuring that the new recruits are comfortable and progressing well in their roles.

Continuous feedback and opportunities for growth and development should be integrated into the training program. This will not only help in improving the performance of the new employees but also increase their engagement and retention within the organization.

Overall, a well-planned and executed training program is crucial for the successful integration of newly recruited employees into the company.

Dear Mohan, you can design induction training for the newly recruited employees. The induction training will include roughly:

a) Company history
b) Company achievements
c) Vision, Mission, Values of your organization
d) Organization chart and where the newly recruited employee stands
e) Objectives of each department
f) Statutory awareness pertaining to his/her designation
g) Salary breakup and rules of tax deduction
h) Job description of that employee
i) KRA of that employee
j) Rules of employee discipline
k) Rules of employee leave, do's and don'ts, and general conduct

Ok...

As per my understanding, the concept of training is purely different from the induction program. Their objectives differ. Before starting any training programs for employees, it's very necessary to assess to what extent it adds value to the employee. It mainly depends on job design and analysis. You have to design based on the requirement for what they are recruited for. It differs from company to company.

The ideal way of getting the training details is through the Performance Management Process (PMP) for experienced candidates. Through this, you can identify the training details and henceforth, through the skill matrix, identify the internal trainer (first priority). If not, you can opt for external trainers.

Sunil
