How Can HR Handle Office Timing Issues Without Demotivating Others?

Dear Friends,

Please let me know how to maintain discipline in the organization. If a performer or pampered employee is not honoring the office timing, leaves, etc., then what should be the strategy of HR to maintain uniformity in the organization? Others should not be demotivated because of such indiscipline activities.

Best Regards,

Dear Madam,

What type of industries do you belong to? Please also specify the type of labor and staff you have so that anyone can provide better assistance.

Dear Swatee,

If it is an act of ignorance, you don't need to act accordingly to the employee. Rather, you shall have a counseling session with that particular employee and ask him/her to provide you with a written statement on his/her act of negligence. If not satisfied, you shall give a warning letter, and if the behavior continues, you shall terminate him/her.

Dear Swatee,

Any performance - good, very good, or excellent - goes above meeting the basic requirements of the organization. Good performance is no substitute for discipline, as discipline forms the foundation of the organization. A weak foundation will lead to problems in the future. Equality is the basis of justice. Please start taking strong note of late coming or any acts of indiscipline. Slowly, this will help change the culture of your company.

Thanks,

Dear Friends,

Please advise on how to maintain discipline in the organization. If a high-performing or pampered employee is not adhering to office timings, leaves, etc., what should be the HR strategy to ensure uniformity in the organization? Others should not be demotivated because of such acts of indiscipline.
