Welcome to CiteHR. The muster roll and wages registers are maintained as per the applicability of the labor enactment to the establishment. We can also maintain the Muster Roll-Cum-Wages Register in a combined manner if the same is allowed under the Act under which we are required to maintain these registers. We have a number of labor laws, i.e., State and Central, which require us to maintain wages and attendance registers. State Shops and Establishment Act and Rules, The Factories Act and Rules, The Contract Labor (R&A) Act and Rules, The Minimum Wages Act and Rules, etc., have provisions on the maintenance of these registers. Therefore, you should first examine which of the Acts is applicable to your establishment and then go through the Rules of that Act to find out the form number and the Rule number in those Rules.
