Has the Maternity Benefit Act Changed? Seeking Updates on Proposed Amendments

I would like to know if there has been any change in the Maternity Benefit Act of 1961. Has the period of 3 months been increased to 6 months as proposed in the parliament in 2008?

If the amendment has taken place, kindly send me a copy of the amendment and the policy.

So far, no amendments have taken place in the Maternity Benefit Act, 1961.
