What Does Success Mean?
Success means achieving a goal.
I think success can be seen from two perspectives: one from society and another from one's own side.
For every person, there are some goals set by society and some by the person themselves. Society has expectations from you, and when you fulfill those expectations, you become successful in the eyes of society. Generally, in this process, you may feel unsatisfied because this is not what you actually want, but rather what society wants from you. The success you achieve for society is a myth; this success is set by society for you.
Secondly, you set some goals in your life, and when you achieve those goals, you feel successful, which gives you satisfaction.
But the main problem is that we want to become successful in the eyes of society, and in this process, we change our goals according to society without knowing the fact that this will not give us ultimate success in our life.
I remember one quotation that describes success: “Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to lasting success. If you enjoy what you do and feel at peace with yourself, you will be happy, and success will follow.”
