I used to work for a software company 'x' where the notice period was 3 months. I gave my resignation 2 weeks before I left the company without notifying them. By that time, my resignation was accepted, and I was asked to serve the notice period, which I did not do. Now, they have sent me the full and final settlement, and I am asked to pay the amount for the notice period (this was in the appointment letter too). They have sent a letter asking for the recovery amount twice, and in the second letter, it is stated that legal action will be taken. Please suggest what the various options are that I can proceed with.
