How to Kickstart Effective Training & Development for IT Teams in Vadodara?

Hi,

I am working in an IT software company based in Vadodara, Gujarat. We are interested in starting Training & Development initiatives, but we are quite new to this. I would like to know which training programs would be useful for IT employees. Additionally, I am curious about the process that will be followed for the Training and Development programs. Can anyone provide me with a list of Training consultants?

Hi Jayamita,

I see that you are flooded with consultants offering their expertise. Isn't that a good sign? Maybe!

The simple equation for Training and Development (T&D) is:
Training Need = Critical Competencies required - Competencies Acquired by employees

In other words, any training MUST fill the competency gap of employees. Training alone may not be THE SOLUTION.

Dear Jaymita,

I would recommend the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) developed by The Carnegie Mellon Software Engineering Institute (SEI). They have also developed a People Capability Maturity Model (P-CMM).

Even though they do not have immediate plans to incorporate PCMM with CMMI, the methodology and the approach can be adopted by any organization, especially your own as a software company. Have a look at their site:
