How Can We Effectively Develop and Motivate Our Subject Matter Experts?

We have in our organization created a pool of subject matter experts (SME) who help us deliver training on product & process. We are now looking at creating a program to develop these subject matter experts. Few suggestions that we have received are to organize a TTT for them, help them receive external certification on the subjects of their expertise, etc.

Could you suggest what may we further do to develop skills of our SME's & keep them motivated?

Mere participation in TTT or acquiring external certifications may not lead to the desired outcome. Your ultimate goal is to reduce operational expenses through training conducted by Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). Whether you choose to conduct TTT or pursue external certifications is of secondary importance.

I do not question the value of TTT; it is indeed necessary. However, ensure that the focus is on cost reduction for the business. Many TTT programs only scratch the surface, emphasizing superficial aspects such as the trainer's style, tone, or body language.

I am prepared to conduct TTT sessions for your SMEs, tailored to meet their specific needs. The primary objective is to enhance business performance and decrease operational costs.
