Job Hunting Dilemma: How to Explain Why You Left Your Last Company to HR?

pradnyaL
If somebody leaves their existing job and is searching for another job, what are the various reasons for leaving the previous company that they can give to convince HR or company management during the interview?

Hi,

I would recommend saying whatever is true. What you wrote in the resignation letter to the previous company, the same reason should be mentioned in the interview. Do not think of making an impression with the reason; there are other means to impress the interviewer, such as command over language, presentation skills, dressing up, body language, knowledge, and skills, as well as knowledge about the company, its products, business, latest news, etc. So, go ahead and face the interview with all the truth.

Dear Prdayna,

It's very difficult to assume which reasons or words impress anybody because every person is born with a different attitude and behavior.

If I were in your place, I would follow Archana's words. What she is saying is absolutely correct - be true to the respective hiring person.

Best of luck

Be positive and affirmative in your approach and ensure that you don't end up in a loss while trying to impress the interviewer.

I agree with Ms. Archana and Mr. Siraj.

I would suggest that you carefully study your situation when implementing advice given by seniors and experienced professionals in this community. If something goes wrong, please don't blame us when you have taken our suggestions for granted.

We, as members of this community, believe in an honest and sincere approach.

With profound regards
