New to HR in a BPO? Seeking Guidance on Key Procedures and Responsibilities

sonia shetty
Hi,

I have recently completed my MBA in HR and have been appointed as a Manager HR in a new company named S Solutions. We are mainly into BPO services. Can anyone provide me with information on HR procedures relevant in the BPO industry, especially in a new organization? As an HR professional, what roles and responsibilities should I be fulfilling and implementing?

Hi Sonia,

I was in a similar situation 1 year back. I would say it's a great opportunity indeed. I would say you have to start with basic HR functions and further structuring to core activities. You can start with:

- Online Attendance and leave system
- Payroll System
- Framing of basic policies like leave, discipline, travel, recruitment, exit, etc.
- Preparing a Complete HR Manual and Induction Manual
- Preparing JDs
- Preparing KRAs
- Preparation of PA Form and Rating system
- Linking KRAs with PA System
- TNI and Training Calendars
