Dear Piyush,

If an employee has passed away, they will be eligible for EDLI's 1976. They will receive benefits amounting to 60,000/- Rupees from the Central government (i.e. in the PF Office). However, the nominee has to fill Form-5(1F) along with providing the following documents:

- Death certificate
- FIR
- Migration certificate
- Nominee's bank passbook (xerox copy)
- Nominee's Bank Account number
- ID Proof

Hello Abbas,

I would like to inquire about the deposited amount you mentioned in your example, such as 1 lakh or 2 lakh.
