My colleague has misplaced her Income Tax PAN card and requires a duplicate PAN card. Could you please advise on the procedure for obtaining a duplicate card?

First, lodge an FIR with your area police station reporting the loss of your PAN card. Then, download the form for issuing a duplicate PAN card from the website of the Income Tax Department (itax) and submit it along with a copy of the FIR to the nearest office/processing center of UTISL or NSDL. The list of city-wise processing centers is also available on the website.
