Are Mining Consultancies Covered by the Shops and Establishment Act for Leave Rules?

Hi,

Can anyone help me, please, if there are any specific leave rules in the Shops and Establishment Act? We are a mining consultancy of 25 people and want to know if we are covered by the Factories Act?

As you do not have any manufacturing activity, you are not covered under the Factories Act, 1948. Please refer to your State Shops and Establishment Act for coverage and the leave details.

Thank you very much for the information. I have gone through the West Bengal Shops and Establishment Act, 1963 (since we are based in WB), and that indeed was helpful.
