Notice Period
If any person resigned his job.When it is notice period start
date of submission of resignation count a notice period?
relieving date also count as a notice period?
date of resignation,date of relieving include OR exclude in notice period?
any rules and regulations is there in notice period.

Notice period starts fm the next day of resignation,
even the day of relieving is also counted in notice period,
each company has a different policy, which is mentioned in appointment letter,
as per that the notice pay is calculated,

Ok let me explain you with an example : Lets assume that in your company the notice period is 1month and an X employee has resigned his services on November 1st 2009 and your management has approved his resignation on Novemeber 2nd 2009 then his notice period is counted from November 1st 2009(The day he resigned) and the notice period ends on November 30th 2009 and the same day he is relieved from the services of the company(Even Releiving date is counted).
Therefore in majority of the companies date of submission of resignation letter is counted as day one of that particular employees notice period and the relieving date is counted as last day of his notice period.
