Statutory Registers Under Shops and Establishment Act: Can We Use Digital Formats?

Can anyone please let me have the soft copy of the format of statutory registers (either in Excel or Word) to be maintained under the Shops and Establishment Act? Also, let me know whether the employer can maintain the registers in soft copy or must and should maintain the physical copies?

The Shops & Establishment Act is not a Central Act. You are to comply with the State Rules wherein all the formats of registers that are to be maintained are provided. Go through your State Act & Rules; you will find the reply to your query.

You need to seek an exception from the Inspector of Factories to maintain registers only in soft copy.
