Stuck in Notice Period Limbo: How Can I Get My Relieving Letter on Time?

shahchigs123
Dear learned friends,

I was working in a public company and tendered my resignation for better prospects. My notice period is 90 days, and already more than 1 month has passed since I submitted my resignation via email to HR. However, they have not acknowledged the receipt of my resignation letter nor have they provided a date for my relieving. I wish to join my new employer next week, and if not, I may lose the opportunity.

My question is, what remedies/actions can I take against my current employer? Please guide me as I am feeling too stressed.

Thanks

Dear friend,

Will you accept if the company sends you an appointment order through email? Do you think it is valid without the signature of the authorized person of the company?

Similarly, you would have to give or send your resignation letter in hard copy. This is the right way, and only then can you ask the management for further queries or settlement.

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your reply. However, the HR department of my company is not accepting a hard copy of my resignation letter. What should I do? Kindly guide me on how to obtain my dues and ensure a smooth relieving process.

Thank you.

Dear friend,

Everything can be successfully solved if you talk amicably with your HR persons. You should speak to them in person.
