In my opinion one is required to go through all the central & appropriate state labour laws for examination of their applicability to the unit concerned & after finalization of the applicability of the central & state enactments go through the Rules also to see under which of the Act & Rules considering the number of employees/workers we are to get the registration certificates / licences or under which of the Act & Rules we are to give intimation to the concerning authorities. We are also to see the time factor within which we are to submit application or to give intimation.
