In my opinion, one is required to go through all the central and appropriate state labor laws for examination of their applicability to the unit concerned. After finalization of the applicability of the central and state enactments, go through the Rules also to see under which Act and Rules, considering the number of employees/workers, we are to get the registration certificates/licenses or under which Act and Rules we are to give intimation to the concerning authorities. We are also to see the time factor within which we are to submit the application or give intimation.
