Regards! Can anybody tell me the what is the statewise limit of overtime and what are normal work hours for the same.
An early reply will be highly appreciable.:confused:

The Factories Act 1948...
Mention of 60 hours in one quarter
In case of co-operative 75 hours in one quarter.
This is not practical, and its not followed in Indian industries people work this much overtime in one month itself or more than prescribed limit in one month.

You have not mentioned the name of the Act under which you are interested to have OT details relating to all the states of India i.e. The Factories Act, 1948, The Minimum Wages Act, 1948, The State Shops & Commercial Establishment Act etc. One of our member have given us the details of working hours along with OT in respect of different States. As you have rightly mentioned that in most companies people work these 60 hours of prescribed OT in just a month, then how to handle this problem in line with the Factories Act?
