Overtime Limits by State: Can Anyone Share the Normal Work Hours and Rules?

Regards! Can anybody tell me what is the state-wise limit of overtime and what are the normal work hours for the same. An early reply will be highly appreciated. 🤔

The Factories Act of 1948 mentions 60 hours in one quarter for regular working hours. In the case of cooperative work, 75 hours in one quarter are specified. However, this is not practical, as it is not followed in Indian industries where people work overtime exceeding the prescribed limit in just one month itself.

Dear Partha, As you have rightly mentioned, in most companies, people work these 60 hours of prescribed overtime in just a month. How can we handle this problem in line with the Factories Act?
