How the Recent Hike in Haryana's Minimum Wages Affects Different Skill Levels

We would like to inform you that the Labour Department of Haryana, through their letter No. 26708-800 dated 25.08.2009, has notified field functionaries that there has been an increase of 32 points in the Consumer Price Index. This increase has resulted in a hike of Rs. 73.92 in the existing minimum rates of wages effective from July 2009. Consequently, the minimum rates of wages for various categories in all scheduled employments in Haryana are as follows:

1. Unskilled
- Minimum rates of Wages P.M.: Rs. 3914.00/-
- Minimum rates of wages per day: Rs. 151.00/-

2. Semi-Skilled-A
- Minimum rates of Wages P.M.: Rs. 4040.00/-
- Minimum rates of wages per day: Rs. 156.00/-

3. Semi-Skilled-B
- Minimum rates of Wages P.M.: Rs. 4174.00/-
- Minimum rates of wages per day: Rs. 161.00/-

4. Skilled-A
- Minimum rates of Wages P.M.: Rs. 4304.00/-
- Minimum rates of wages per day: Rs. 166.00/-

5. Skilled-B
- Minimum rates of Wages P.M.: Rs. 4434.00/-
- Minimum rates of wages per day: Rs. 171.00/-

6. High Skilled
- Minimum rates of Wages P.M.: Rs. 4564.00/-
- Minimum rates of wages per day: Rs. 176.00/-

Going ahead on the same... Below are the dates on which the minimum wages are announced by the Delhi & Haryana Governments:

Haryana - 1st July & 1st January every year

Delhi - 1st February & 1st August every year

Could you please let me know the same about the UP government, if you can?

What I have observed from the site Paycheck.in is as follows:

U P - 1st April & 1st October every year. At present, the minimum rates of wages for the UP state can be seen for the period from 01.04.2009 to 30.09.2009 on this site.
