Dear seniors,
I am Padma from Hyderabad and am working as an intern in an MNC. It is far from my home, let's say 6 kilometers, but every day I am wasting 3 to 4 hours on travel due to traffic jams. I need to be on time as I am working in HR training and development, but I have never reached my office on time from the first day. I have even told my boss to give me flexible hours for 4 days, as long as it is needed, and I wanted Friday, Saturday, Sunday as week offs, as I need to go to my college and study on the weekend and with friends, blah blah... However, the HR rules were not flexible and new. So the thing is my boss could not help me, but my boss gives me grace time to come to the office. In India, mostly companies calculate how much time you were at the office, not the work you have done. I sincerely request every HR or every HR practitioner to ensure your employees' satisfaction, otherwise, no productivity will come.
So please try to concentrate on these points:
1. Job satisfaction
2. Working hours flexibility with valid reasons, but productivity must be seen
3. Family time to refresh their minds (employees should never think of work as a burden)
4. Financial rewards when the time comes for excellence
5. Complete growth of their career (unbiased)
6. Inter-relationships between the team heads and the trainees (let them feel free to express their views, not their regrets)
7. Unity among the employees as humans, how they treat each other, or any conflicts happening?
These are my views. If we want to discuss, there are many points that come into the limelight of Industrial relationships.
Hope seniors would like it, and please correct me if I am wrong.
My job life experiences:
As I have joined a company, I am coming across many things and realizing how to act in future actions. It's a good experience to work in my company. I am lucky to have the best boss to whom I am reporting. I am really lucky to have her, and she lets me learn something every day.
Thank you for reading all my writing.
Regards,
Padma
