First of all, we need to determine under which Labour Law we are obtaining overtime work from the employees/workers. Some of the enactments that outline the procedures for overtime payment and maximum overtime hours include The Factories Act, 1948, The Minimum Wages Act, 1948, State Shops & Commercial Establishment Act, etc. Therefore, first, decide on the name of the Act and then review the overtime provisions.
