Hi,

I am Divya, currently in my final semester of my MCA. I just want to know, are there any possibilities of getting into the HR field without an MBA? I mean, is an MBA the only option? Are there any alternative courses offered? Please do let me know at the earliest.

Hey Shav, thank you. I need to know more about this. Which universities are considered the best? Can I do it through correspondence?

Hey Rohit, thanks. What sort of certification will I get from doing this? And how about the job opportunities?

You should consider pursuing a career in social auditing, as it is a field that offers great success and attractive perks. There is a high demand for this course, and you will have the opportunity to engage in various activities and learn valuable skills.

Divya,

Although for you it seems difficult, positions in HR are tight. Companies prefer people with experience of at least 1-2 years, but you can try being a technical recruiter in a BPO/KPO or recruitment firms. It could be better if you have a reference.

All the best, Amrender

My name is Ravi. I am planning to do an MBA from WLC college. How would you rate them? Please be honest because it's a question of my career.

You can email me at ravitk20@gmail.com. Expecting an answer from anyone in a day.

Hi Divya,

Yes, you can pursue it through distance learning and simultaneously work in the HR field. In my opinion, the best institute for this is the Institute of Management Technology, Center of Distance Learning (Ghaziabad). You can also search for other universities on Google.

Best,
Shav

Hi,

Several universities now provide a Post Graduate Diploma in HRM. Some of the reputable ones include The Madras University, The Pondicherry Central University, Symbiosis Institute, and IGNOU. You will need to act quickly to submit your applications as most of these institutes have already advertised some time ago.

Good luck!

Hi Divya,

I would suggest that you consider opting for SAP HR (Technical). Since you have knowledge in programming, this course would be a good fit for you. If you have any more queries, feel free to post them to me.

Hi,

If you want to pursue external/distance courses in HR, Mr. Satish has provided you with details on the courses. Alternatively, if you prefer studying on a regular basis, you can opt for an MBA. There is another popular course called MSW (HR), which is a 2-year (4-semester) postgraduate program.

Hey, can anyone tell me what I should study for the GAIL HR written exam? It's going to be held on 2nd August. Just tell me what all things I need to brush up on. Thanks in advance.

Even though there are many courses available to pursue a career in HR, such as MSW, MHRD, and MHRM, it is better to enroll in a PGDHRM program. Evening colleges also offer such programs for added convenience.

Hi Divya,

A PGD in Human Resource Management will be best for you. After that, you can search for HR jobs (Recruitment Specialist) in technical firms since you are pursuing MCA.

All the best,

Do MSW HR yaar. If in Chennai means, do it at MSSW, Loyola, Madras Christian College, and DG Vaishnav.

Hi, thank you for your message. I wanted to correct the spelling and grammar in your text. It should read as follows:

"Do MSW HR yaar. If in Chennai means, do it at MSSW, Loyola, Madras Christian College, and DG Vaishnav."

I hope this helps! Let me know if you need further assistance.

Divya,

You can pursue a one-year diploma course from a good institute. IMT is one of the best for this.

In the current scenario, the value of distance learning is almost negligible; hence, I would not suggest anybody go for it.

If you want work experience in a good industry, please let me know, and I will put in my efforts to get you into HR.

Kapil A.

Dear Friend,

A person who wants to enter HR can start by working with a Placement Consultancy as an HR recruiter and then later decide as time progresses. You can then choose to take a short-term course in HRM so that by that time, you will have both experience and qualifications to assist you.

I don't think WLC College is that good, especially in HR. For retail and other stuff, it's okay.

Hi Divya,

HR House does not cover all HR areas, and the faculty is also not experienced. I suggest you do not waste your time if you are planning to take training at HR House.
