We hope it will be implemented from December 2009 as the manufacturers were already nominated by the central government last year. The only thing pending is the unique identity card number, which needs to be disclosed in the master card data. We had seen the same data when I was auditing one of the US textile firms in Washington. This is truly amazing and will help a lot of workers.

Dear All,

Please guide me on LTA matters. According to the Supreme Court judgment, we don't need to submit proof/tickets for LTA. However, to my knowledge, this has not yet been implemented by the Income Tax Department. Currently, I have informed our employees that we require supporting documents with LTA. Please suggest whether I am right or wrong.

I am attaching an Excel file which contains 2 sheets: 1. DF and 2. Data. You only need to make all employee entries in a single row on the Data sheet and print that particular employee's DF by putting his serial number in the pink-colored box provided on the DF sheet. Useful information, but I don't think that it will work well because the ESIC website is always slow. In Haryana, we have an ESIC online registration to get an insurance number online. It's good, but at the same time, it consumes a lot of time compared to the previous practice. However, let's see how it's going to work.
