How to calculate man-days in the half-yearly return of the Factories Act?

Dear,

In my opinion, man-hours/man-days are considered in annual return (Form-21). However, it is clarified that the total attendance of workers for the period from January to June is to be considered as total man-days for filing the half-yearly return under the Factories Act, 1948, and the rules made thereunder.

Total hours worked by male employees = Total days present by male employees * Hours worked -----(1)

Total hours worked by female employees = Total days present by female employees * Hours worked -----(2)

Total hours worked by young persons/employees = Days present * Hours worked -----(3)

Mandays = 1 man day = 8 hours; accordingly, you can calculate the same.
