How Do You Calculate Salary for a Period Spanning Two Months? Let's Discuss!

Employees' salary period runs from the 26th of one month to the 25th of the next month. When considering a salary period like 26th June to 25th July, the salary would typically be counted for the month of July. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask.

Dear Arup Roy,

In my opinion, this type of wage period cannot be considered correct in the eyes of labor laws. The wage period should be considered as a calendar month, and accordingly, payment should be made by the 7th or 10th of the following month, as the case may be. I do not believe this type of accounting month is specified in any law.

Dear Arup,

It is a fairly common practice to treat the attendance period from the 26th of the previous month to the 25th of the current month to facilitate the timely preparation and disbursement of salaries. If the days are calculated from 26th June to 25th July, the payroll that would be processed will be for the month of July.

Salary Payment Schedule

As per the law, employees with a salary below 1000 receive payment on the 10th of every calendar month. For employees with a salary above 1000, payment is made on the 7th of each month.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.
