Is a Diploma in Labour Law and Industrial Relations Worth It for My Career Growth?

I am currently pursuing PGDBA (HR) from Pune Symbiosis Distance Learning. I am considering pursuing an additional course as I am not currently obtaining the desired job. Previously, I was working with a recruitment company in Delhi. However, it has been a year since I shifted to Pune, and I am looking to pursue another course. So, will this diploma course be profitable for my career? (Diploma in Labour Law and Industrial Relations)

Dear Isha,

You may do this from anywhere in India. The main concern is to understand these laws for compliance purposes. If you are interested in Delhi, you can do it from Indian Law Institute (ILI) opposite the Supreme Court of India, Delhi.

For knowledge purposes, you need to know the basic laws and their impact and implementation related to statutory regulations for Corporate HR. If you are keen to make your career and work in factories, then this course would be very useful.

You can pursue a Diploma in Law (LL) without having to complete an LLB degree. This can be done through distance education or the regular stream as well.

Today I got some information about the courses related to HR from AIIM (All India Institute of Management, Chennai). This institute is well-known for diploma courses and is also recognized by corporates.

You can pursue the regular courses of DLL & LW and MLL & LW at Pune University through various institutes in Pune. Symbiosis University also offers the DLL course. All these courses are regular programs.
