Notice Period Dilemma: Should Employees Pay Basic or Gross Salary When Leaving?

sumeet6780
Please let me know if an employee wants to pay his notice period. In this case, does he have to pay only the basic salary to his employer or his total gross salary?

Hi Sumeet,

It's totally management discretion, and many of the companies are following basic salary.

Dear,

Unless specified otherwise, "one month salary or wages" means the full/total salary or wages for a month.

Hi,

Please review your employment letter (which was issued to an employee at the time of joining), i.e., the probationary letter. If it specifies one month's gross or one month's basic, you will come to know.
