Hi, Depends on the following
1. If he/she is going to stay in own flat then, may mention the same.
2. companies in veritcals like Insurance & banking may do physical ref check and also prefer local candidates, hence marking relative's address and keeping them posted would be preferable.
3. Generally giving current address with header as Address for Communication would do.with a declaration in cover letter stating that ready for relocation.
Hope u find the answer useful

Hardeep,
There is an option for Permanent address, present address.
I dont think this would be very crucial. Its for communication and for basic records purpose.
Mention present address, permanent address. That will help.
And highlight which can be used for communicating purpose

hi..
according to me...u should post current address on the resume at the top...and then in the end of the resume u should also mention the native address so that company should not get confused..!!

In my friend's case he's working with citi group where his HR head asked him to fetch a permanent address to do some formalities so he's confused cuz he's working for this company frm the past 4 yrs
at that time he was living as Paying guest now he has his own flat....
so what u think now which address he shud mention ....????
I suggested him to give the current address...rest of the things can be taken care by the HR head...what u think guys..???
Ash Mathew
Permanent address will be his home address (not the paying guest one)
Ones own house - is the permanent address.

Hello Hardeep,
Ask him to give his current/present address.
Usually the parents' address is taken as the permanent address. So you can ask him to mention this too. That's acceptable usually by most companies.
On a lighter vein, it depends on WHY the HR head wants the permanant address for.....if for sending some notices or pink-slips, maybe your friend can think twice if he should give it [have seen some smart employees avoid giving it or mentioning the present address as the permanent one too].

if he has purchased his flat...then he should give that address...and if he is on rent then he should take a document from his land lord for the company and tell the landlord that this whole is for DOCUMENTATION....did u understood....if not then answer me fast...!!

HI...ALL,
he told me that his company do this thing after a certain period of time
(as this point is not cleared to me yet...)
but he was sayin that this procedure is for every employee workin in the company....
Not for him only....he's just worried cuz when he joined the company he mentioned his Paying guest address and if he now mention this address which is his own flat...
can creat misunderstandings...n u know now a days companies are just need a chance to pick some faults from employees side....
I think this is the thing which actually is a cause of his tension...

Hi,
For employees Residing addresses are most important cze while the time of F&F and other process its mandatory
So Pl ask your friend to produce her current residing Add/ Permanent add....
If She don’t have address proof we can produce notary also for it…
