Struggling with Compensatory Offs in IT? How Do You Manage Them for Your Team?

Hi, Guys! I'm new on this site and working in an IT company. I just wanted to know about the policy for compensatory offs. It is tough to manage Comp. offs for all the employees. What policy or process are you following for Comp. offs? Please let me know about the same ASAP... Please. Regards, Parry

Dear Parry,

In general practice, many companies follow a one-month notice period, i.e., 30 days (in case the person is working on a weekly off). For extra hours worked, one day's pay plus compensatory off is eligible, which means double the normal wage.

Dear Parry,

It depends upon the policy of the company, but as per the Factory Act, it is applicable for 90 days. This means you can avail of compensatory leave for up to 90 days from your working day.
