Hi Nithya,
As you mentioned, you handle both IT and non-IT recruitments and use the Naukri job portal. Yes, sometimes only relying on job portals may not be effective. Firstly, I suggest preparing a databank of profiles from various fields such as IT, Finance, Marketing, and Accounts. These profiles can be sourced from your own network, friends, individuals who visit your company or consultancy to drop off their resumes, or even profiles from your past work that were not shortlisted. Having a databank at your disposal will make it easier for you to address any job description from a client.
Another effective strategy would be, for instance, if you have a requirement to gather Marketing profiles, seeking assistance from your seniors and colleagues who have previously worked on similar requirements to share relevant profiles.
Furthermore, you can directly contact companies to collect profiles. For instance, if you receive a request from LIC for Insurance profiles, you can conduct headhunting by reaching out to similar organizations such as ICICI Prudential, ING Vysya, HDFC Standard Life, and engage in conversations persuasively to encourage job change discussions by highlighting potential salary increases, brand reputation, or senior positions.
