Struggling with Uncooperative Contract Workers: How Can We Resolve This Ongoing Issue?

Maverick Venus
Couple of contractor employees placed in the stores department for loading/unloading and material feeding work resorted to slowing down. We tried to counsel them, but to no avail. After a week, we decided to take strict action, and two contractor workers who were playing a leading role were stopped at the gate. Now, things are returning to normalcy. The problem is that these contractor workers are very old, with 2-8 years of service. The contractor is also not playing a positive role. How can we get rid of the workers and the contractor, as every now and then, we are facing problems that cause our production to suffer, and we are forced to do overtime. On top of it, some of the contractor workers refuse to do overtime. Please advise.

Dear,

How can you stop the gate of contractors' workers? They are the workers of the contractor, and thus, the power of taking legal action against these workers lies with the contractor. You are to report the matter to the contractor. If the contractor is not giving the required results, then take action as per the agreement.

Hi,

Please send a written notice to the contractor about the problem. You are eligible to take any action against the contractor if the same problem arises and production is hampered. You can even threaten to discontinue the contractor's contract if the problem is not resolved promptly.
