Hi Ritu, Compensatory Leave shall be applicable in case of , if any employee work on weekly off , or on any other holiday, which is approved by state as well as Central Government Holiday list. against of that particular day, employee can take take Compensatory Leave. & regarding the time limit, it is totally depend on Policy of the company. For more details, please refer the Shops & Establishment Act. 1948 or The factory Act.1948 ( As per applicable to your organization) & also you can refer The Weekly Holiday Act. 1942. Please note, please refer the above acts. as the your state wise. Regards,
