Dear Shenba,

I am inquiring about the rate of wages/salary per day/month for an employee.

Hi Mr. Khola,

As you mentioned, let me clarify one thing - we will write it designation-wise. For example, in a designation where 10 employees are present, we need to sum up the wages of these 10 employees and then calculate the daily wage.

Could you please confirm if my understanding is correct?

Regards,
Shenba

Dear Shenba,

Let me clarify that this register is not to be filled up by designation. In this register, we are to categorize workers, for example, unskilled, semi-skilled, skilled, clerical, and miscellaneous staff. You are to provide a brief description of the work. You may take these categories from the minimum wages notification of the appropriate Government. Then, you are to write the number of men and women employed in your unit. There is no need to calculate the daily rate of wages. You are to provide the rate of wages in whatever form they are in the wages register. The rate of wages will vary according to their experience. The main objective of this Act is to ensure there is no discrimination in wages between male and female employees. The pay scale should be the same for both sexes. If there is more than one component in monthly wages, you may note it accordingly. For example, if the basic pay for a fresher is 3000/- per month and for someone with 5 years of experience is 5000/- per month, then you may indicate 3000/- to 5000/- in the basic pay component. You may also add a note in the remarks column stating that wages vary according to experience. The format can be quite confusing to understand.

I hope this clarifies your query to some extent.

Dear Shenba,

The sample of the register in Form "D" has been filled out by me as per your request. You may add more categories as per your unit. The register has been filled out in all three cases where wages/salary are being paid to the workers on a monthly/per day basis or by way of different components.

Hi,

Could you please send me a format of Form-D, Register for equal remuneration, Form-A, Notice for the opening of an organization under the Gratuity Act, and a format under the Gratuity Act where the name and address of the officer authorized to receive notice will be displayed? Please.

Hi, thank you for adding the equal remuneration format. I have a doubt. I am working in a company where contract employees are also working. Should I include contract laborers in this register? Please, can anyone help?

In my opinion, you are required to maintain a register under the ER Act for your directly employed workers, not for the workers of the contractor. The contractor is responsible for maintaining the register of his workers at his own level.

In our organization, there are no female workers who have worked or are currently working. However, we still need to update the FORM D under the ER Act. Kindly advise on what needs to be filled in the prescribed form.

Additionally, I am required to submit annual returns under various laws. Could you please provide guidance on where the annual returns should be sent in Haryana?
