Leave Entitlement [Thread 141216]

Hi how does the leave entitlement should be done in following case The person is appointed on 15.10.07 and he was confirmed on 14.10.08 can you pl. explain how can i calculate his leave. Thanks Raj

For leave entitlement confirmation is not a legal matter. Therefore, he is entitled to get leave @ 1 day for every 20 days of work in the preceding year. Normally, leave is calculated on calendar year basis. Therefore, his attendance from 1st Jan 08 to 31st Dec 08 shall be taken. He is also entitled for leave for the days worked from 15th Oct 07 to 31-12-07. Regards, Madhu.T.K
