India has not been one of the major producers of crude oil in the world, but the consumption of oil in India is substantial. Therefore, it would be a big deal for the country to keep its growth intact.

Companies have been adopting cost-cutting measures, and companies like TCS have reported a loss of millions of dollars due to currency fluctuations, as disclosed in its 3rd-quarter result because of fluctuations in currency rates.
