Salary Projections for 2009: What Are We Missing in Our Analysis?

I have attached the salary projection report for 2009 for all sectors. I request all of you to provide your valuable inputs that I may have missed including.

The projection of average growth in salary for 2009 with the latest estimation is 8.5%. This has decreased from the 12.5% and 11.5% projections made based on September 2008 by the two survey companies.

I'm working with a South Korean MNC, and my office is at Vasant Vihar. We are primarily focused on sales and marketing. I am in the process of requesting my bosses to consider increasing the salary of our staff. However, he is asking me to provide solid proof from other companies and relevant newspaper articles. Well, friends, I would really like to know the format for the increment, the slabs for a particular grade, how is it designed. I would like someone to guide on it.
