i need your help to understand apprisal methods : 360 Dig and 180 Dig

Hi Poonam,360 deg is an appraisal method which is now used by most of the organizations.It is a method by an employees' performance feedback is given by everybody. ie... by his immediate supervisor, manager, peers, subordinates, internal customers, external customers... So an employee performance is given by all of them n thats y this is called 360 deg performance evaluation. Mostly questionnaires are used for getting the feedbcak.Thanks,Saravanan

Its an appraisal method where performance of the employee is not only focussed to his own dept bt also on his approach towards the org as whole. He/she is rated on parameters some of which are Communication, Interpersonal skills, floor decorum etc
Evaluation is done combining the feedbacks received from many people who see different parts of an employee’s performance.
It starts from "0" & ends to "0". Thts hw its own as 360dg

now I 'm getting the concept of 360 dg appraisal, this method is commonly used by many companies. Then why not 180 dg. appriasal ?

Hi Poonam,360 deg appraisal is an extended form of 180 deg appraisal.In 180 deg appraisal, an individual performance is assessed by his immediate supervisor n his team (if any) whereas in 360 he is assessed by all of them as i told u earlier.please find the attachment i hope it will help u a lot...Regards,Saravanan

im new to this site performance apparaisal is the method which is used by most of organisation to measure the employees performance from 0 to 360 degree apparaisal and 180 degree than latest is 540 degree apparaisal. which help to know employees prformance level of degree by questionnarie,feedback,solving the employees problems
