Hi Tania,
Nice question you have raised, "Why HR?"
In my view, HR is the only department which portrays the company objectives in terms of policies and vision. Every organization has a well-trained and experienced HR department. HR helps in the projection of future business developments. HR makes employees feel that they are a part of the organization. HR creates an environment like a family, providing a comfort zone. The HR department is designed for the organization and for employees. HR acts as a recruiter, cost center, organization developer, manpower projection, and budget projector. HR helps organizations perform at their best by providing the right person for the right job. HR designs the company limitations, structure, policies, and if required, redesigns them. Stating that a firm is employee-friendly truly means HR is cooperative. HR maintains trustworthy relationships with employees to make the workplace comfortable. HR maintains the existing resources of the organization and strives to use them efficiently. HR introduces the best possible incentives and acts as motivators for many employees. HR also keeps track of the company's progress and that of its employees.
So, in all these ways, HR is important and is an integral part of any organization, playing a vital role in the company's success.
Hope that you would agree on that.
Thanks,
