Adoption Leave Changes in Maternity Benefits Act: Can Anyone Explain the New Amendment?

I have heard that there is an amendment to the Maternity Benefits Act regarding Adoption leave entitlement. Can somebody please shed some light on this?

Adoption Leave and the Maternity Benefit Act

Adoption leave has not been incorporated into the Maternity Benefit Act so far. This type of leave is available only to government employees as per the pay commission recommendations, and it is not available to private sector employees.
