SOURCES OF CHANGE
These could be any number of factors.
EXTERNAL
-change in economy growth
-change in market forces
-change in government legislations
-change in tariffs
-change in competitive forces
-change in needs/ wants
-change in lifestyle
-change in demographic
-change in technology
etc
INTERNAL
-change in corporate mission
-change in corporate objectives
-change in corporate strategy
-change in organization
-change in corporate direction
-mergers/ acquisitions
-new products introduction
-moving into globalization
etc
SO THERE ARE NUMEROUS FORCES , WHICH COULD
CAUSE CHANGES.

To add on to Leo's list, it could be Change in self which is a derivative of change in both external and internal environment.
this is critical.... other things change and move on but SELF is one subject which takes it time to think if I need to change and why and how and many more complexities.... unlike external and internal elements mentioned by Leo which move on smoothly with change and keep adapting to the changed Change.... Human beings are most complex elements of change........all the change theories are directed towards these complexities.....
