Exploring HR Beyond Resumes and Interviews: What Else Should I Be Doing?

Hi all,

I am working as an HR Consultant in this company for 2 years now. I joined this start-up company and am still working here. I want to know what other HR activities are there besides shortlisting resumes and setting up interviews. Can anybody please tell me what other HR activities exist? Also, where can I go for training or an HR course?

It seems as though you are involved in recruitment. Other main responsibilities include performance management, compensation reviews, benefit administration, manpower reports, and other studies. Training is also a vital activity. For a large and established company, Business Process Reengineering (BPR) and change implementation are quite important along with the implementation of HRIS.
