An employee has been availed of casual leave and short leave which are to be used for these puposes. It is up to the employee how they use upto the optimum. Every human being has his/her social life which cannot be neglected but at the same time one should priortize his need and responsibilities respectively. I 100% agree that one cannot work for 10 hrs continously, relaxation is must, so this time can be utilized for personal and social activities. and as far the employer is concerned, i do not think that any restrictions are there, you are allowed on timely basis (as long as you do not misuse it).
So Ravi, doing personal work during official hours should not be a problem as far as you make the right use of it...
