Dear Kavitha Madam,
Since deceased person is unmarried, her parents is having full right to claim the PF and Pension. First of all the following documents were required:-
1. Original death certificate of the member.
2. Legal heir certificate original and xerox
3. For 20 and 10D and Form IF
4. 3 Passport size photo of her Father and Mother jointly (if her father is alive. Otherwise her mother's passport size photo is enough).
5. Bank Passbook xerox namely Indian Bank, SBI and Indian Overseas Bank seperate for parents individually..
First of all PF will be settled equal share to her father and mother. If her father is not alive, full amount will be settled to her mother. Also Pension will be sent to her father first and then her mother. Other than her parents nobody will have no right to claim the benefits. Only in the case of there is no father and mother, her immediate nominee will get the benefits. Pension only paid to her parents. If the parents were alive, not necessary to all the family members photo and bank account.
Fill the forms and get attested from the employer, take it to PF office. The PRO of PF office will check all these, after verifying the legal heir certificate, original will be returned and copy only attached to the forms.
Claims will be settled within 3 days, since this the death case. If your establishment is EDLI exempted concern, LIC will settle the EDLI benefit. For this you ask your HR department to get form from LIC and fill and attach the original death certificate. If the cause of death is accident or suicide, Police FIR copy and Postmortem copy should be attached.
If the deceased member is an ESI IP, first claim death benefit from ESI and she died on duty, you can claim pension from ESI apart from PF.
I hope this will clear.
Thanks and regards
