Dear Vidya,
Many times an HR has to face such circumstances. Not in this organization only, might be during your employment tenure you have to face such blurred situations in future too. I have faced the same situations in the initial years of my career & sometimes still facing because some bosses are in not in the favor of HR deptt as they think HR deptt is a non-revenue generating deptt as comparative to other deptts. But don’t feel sad or regret of being HR.Take interest in your boss's opinion & try to find out the reason behind it. Show the importance of your work, take initiative slowly. Stay calm & be patient. Wait for such chance where nobody can help him out except the HR.Don't loose hope, learn & try to tackle a difficult boss instead of searching a new job as this a tough time to search a job during recession. I believe that you will learn something out of it. Try to align your objectives with your company’s objectives or for the benefit of company. Think for a while from the point of view of your boss before thinking anything negative. Always remember one thing that we work for our own experience & benefit. Try to explore new ideas for yourself whether your boss appreciate it or not. Keep doing & stay positive in every situation. Take life as it comes.
Regards,
Noor
